Dear Sir or Madam,

We are writing to you because our records show that you purchased a Seahorse outdoor gas water heater. The Seahorse water heater will be located on the outside of the building.

We are writing to advise you that there is a potential fire hazard with the Seahorse water heater. Please read this notice thoroughly to understand the nature of the problem and how to correct it.

The fire hazard can occur if the Seahorse is mounted to a wood or vinyl siding building. We have discovered that a failure can occur within the heater. That can cause it to overheat and potentially ignite combustible materials (i.e. wood / or vinyl siding). The fire hazard does not apply if the Seahorse water heater is mounted on a brick or non-combustible wall.

We advise that we have an easy to install retrofit kit that will be supplied to any Seahorse owner, free of charge, which will prevent the fire hazard. To receive the retrofit kit please fill out and mail the postage paid reply card enclosed with this notice.

If you no longer own the heater please return the postage paid reply so that we may update our records.
